Not that long ago, Ken Ikeda’s career on the men’s national team seemed to be winding down after nine years, two Olympics, three world championships and many more major international competitions.

These days, however, Ken remains right in the thick of things, gearing up to help Canada qualify a full men’s team for the next Olympics in 2012 and helping the younger gymnasts to fill the void left by the retirements of four veterans from the 2008 Olympic team, including longtime team leader Kyle Shewfelt.
